Consult hip joint osteoarthritis

 Osteoarthritis, the most common form of arthritis, occurs when the protective cartilage that cushions the ends of your bones wears down over time. Patients who have osteoarthritis of the hip have difficulty walking, climbing stairs and abnormal gait during walking.

Diagnosis can be difficult at first. That's because pain can appear in different locations, including the groin, thigh, buttocks, or knee, developing slowly and worsening over time. The symptoms include:

• Pain during or after movement.

• Stiffness most noticeable upon awakening or after being inactive.

• Tenderness and swelling.

• Loss of flexibility.

• Grating sensation  when you use the joint, with popping or crackling sound sometimes.

• Bone spurs or extra bits of bone, which feel like hard lumps, form around the affected joint.

Treatment depends on the stage of osteoarthritis.
